The Center for Puerto Rican Studies - Hunter College (CUNY) in New York City, CUNY TV, and the BronxNet will be launching this month the new Season of Puerto Rican Voices TV Show: “Rebuild Puerto Rico”. Two years after Hurricane Maria and there is still much more that needs to be done. On-site and stateside efforts to reconstruct and rebuild the island has been a non-stop activity that continues to grow.
This new season seeks to discuss issues pertinent to the reconstruction of Puerto Rico by highlighting the work that the civic sector and different organizations are doing in the process. The purpose of this program is to inform and to connect the Puerto Rican diaspora with organizations in Puerto Rico.
The Centro Team has interviewed Experts on various fields and independent organizations in Puerto Rico and in other states of the E.E. U.U. are coming up with amazing innovative projects and ideas in order to help with the reconstruction of the Island.
This TV Show includes 13 different episodes following a three-segment structure:
1) Introduction to the theme of the week.
2) Presentation of organizations work and what the civic sector is doing in Puerto Rico and the rest of the United States.
3) Discussion of the situation with experts in the field and present options for the future.
